Donated Bus Used for Training

Donated Bus Used for Training

Jun 27, 2019
The Butler Transit Authority recently donated one of its retired buses to be utilized for a Butler County fire school for training. It was coordinated by Butler County Fire Chiefs Association through Butler County Community College. The training by the fire school was held June 1st and 2nd at Krill Recycling in Fenelton. The fire school was grateful for the donation. They were able to train 15 students on the extrication techniques on a vehicle they typically do not have access to.
The vehicle was the Authority’s retired Gillig bus 843. It was replaced in Spring 2019 when the Authority took ownership of three new Gillig Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses.
The Authority is always pleased when it can help support local first responders.
