Discounts

The Transit Authority and all public transportation is economical! We have many different fare options to meet your transportation needs.

Bus passes and discount passes are available for all age groups. See below for the discount options available on the commuter bus service and the local bus service. 

Please note: New ConnectCard Fee is $5. ConnectCards are reuable and reloadable. 1 Day and 7 Day passes are available on no-fee paper cards at the downtown Butler bus terminal. 

Senior Citizens (65+) can ride The Bus for free with their State Identification card. Click here for more information on the free senior pass. 
BTA offers two commuter discount passes: 

15 Trip Pass - $60
(Equals $4 per commuter trip) 

31 Trip Pass - $120
(Equals $3.87 per commuter trip)

Discount passes not only save you money but they eliminate the need for you to carry exact change bus fare. 
You can also check with your employer to see if your business participates in any transit benefit programs such as WageWorks. 
Adult Discount Passes:
  • 1 Day Pass: $3 
    • Ride unlimited all day
  • 7 Day Pass: $15
    • Ride unlimited for 7 consecutive days
  • 25 Day Pass: $40
    • Ride unlimited for 25 consecutive days
  • 12 Trip Pass: $12
    • 12 Trips with free transfers automatically added to ConnectCard. Transfers must be used within 2 hours.
Ages 13-17 Discount Passes:
  • 25 Day Pass: $30
    • Ride unlimited for 25 consecutive days
  • 12 Trip Pass:
    • 12 Trips with free transfers automatically added to ConnectCard. Transfers must be used within 2 hours. 
Ages 7-12 Discount Passes: 
  • 25 Day Pass: $20
    • Ride unlimited for 25 consecutive days
  • 12 Trip Passes: $7.50
    • 12 Trips with free transfers automatically added to ConnectCard. Transfers must be used within 2 hours.
Children 6 and under are FREE

Butler County Community College Discount Pass:
  • 12 Trip Pass: $8
    • 12 Trips with free transfers automatically added to ConnectCard. Transfers must be used within 2 hours.
    • Must show Student ID to obtain pass. Purchases and reloads are available through BTA staff at the downtown Butler terminal only.
