Technology on Buses

Mar 29, 2018
The Butler Transit Authority is pleased to announce new technology on board its commuter buses. The MCI coach buses running between Butler and Pittsburgh now include free WIFI. Passengers wishing to use this amenity can obtain a “Get Connected” card from the driver to access the WIFI.

The Authority also has GPS and real-time bus tracker information available. This technology allows passengers to track the bus via BTA’s website or through the MyStop app available at the app store or Google play.

Passengers can sign up for public messages and alerts through the Live Routes tab of the BTA website. Passengers have the option to sign up for text and/or email alerts. Passengers without smart phones can text BU and the stop number to 321123 to receive a text showing the next time the bus will be at the requested stop. Bus stop numbers as well as instructions on how sign up for this technology is available through the links below.
