Butler, PA – On Monday, October 5, 2009 the American Public Transportation Association announced that the Butler Transit Authority (BTA) was a Grand Award winner in the 30th annual AdWheel Awards.
In September BTA was notified that it won three first place awards in the AdWheel Awards competition. Two first place awards were in the print media category for an ad promoting bus tokens and the other for a direct mailer aimed at increasing student ridership. The third award was for a shoestring campaign designed to increase awareness that seniors 65 and older ride free with a PA transit card.
The first place wins put BTA in the running for the Grand Award which was announced at APTA’s annual meeting in Orlando, FL. Each year, the AdWheel Awards honor the best in public transportation marketing and communication from APTA members across the country. This was BTA’s fourth first place award and its second Grand Award in the AdWheel Competition
