Butler Transit Authority Begins Service to Boyers

The Butler Transit Authority (BTA) will begin bus service to Boyers in Northern Butler County on Wednesday, January 2, 2007. Service will begin at 5:30 a.m. as the first bus departs from a park n ride lot at North Main Street Church off of Route 8.

BTA is working in conjunction with local Boyers companies, OPM and USIS to give workers more transportation options. With gas prices reaching record levels it is becoming necessary for commuters to find alternative transportation methods.

Service from Butler to Boyers will run year round and tickets can be purchased at several different cost levels to fit individual's needs. Tickets can be purchased in the BTA terminal in downtown Butler, by mail or from the driver.

BTA looks forward to this new service and hopes the community will take advantage of the stress-free commute.
