Please watch our “How To Ride the Bus” video
“The BUS” has over 100 stops and each one is located with special consideration for your safety and convenience.
Reading the signs
Many of the bus stops are served by one or two or more routes.
Bus signs are color coded with the routes and schedules and have a colored “dot” to identify the route bus that will stop there. Look at our Route Info box (on the right) to see the colored routes and dots.
How to ride
Wait for the bus at the stop; be there about 5 minutes early. It may help to waive your hand as you see the bus approaching to get the driver’s attention.
Please allow riders departing the bus off before attempting to get on the bus.
Destinations are displayed on the front and the side of each bus.
Have the exact fare amount, or have your pass ready. Drivers cannot make change as they do not carry money.
You may listen to a radio or other music player, please use earphones.
When your stop is approaching, signal the driver by pressing on the yellow strip by your seat. That will trigger a buzzer or bell to let the driver know you wish to stop and get off.
Safe Riding Tips
Our buses are equipped with special seats in the front of the buses for seniors and disabled persons to use and we ask that passengers keep these free for those who most need them. All buses provide handicapped access.
The use of any tobacco products, drinking, or eating are not allowed on the bus.
Please do not drop trash on the floor or leave it on the seat. Take it with you or drop it in the waste basket provided on the bus.
Keep the aisles clear by moving your packages and back packs under the seats or against your legs. There is a two bag limit when riding The Bus. Passengers must be able to load and unload packages themselves. Don’t forget your packages also.
Babies must be held and strollers folded and placed against your legs to minimize the chance of tripping anyone.
