Reps to Ride Inaugural Trip for Commuter Service


The Butler Transit Authority announces that Representative Brian Ellis, John Paul, the Executive Director, and Representatives from the Transit Authority Board of Directors will be riding the inaugural first Commuter Trip provided by Butler Transit Authority.

The service will start from the City Butler to downtown Pittsburgh on Monday December 18, 2017 leaving at 5:50AM from the Downtown Terminal and at 6:00AM from the former Shop & Save at the Pullman Shopping Center. Traveling South on Rt. 8 with a planned stop opposite of Glade Run Church, to West Rt. 228 with a stop at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Adams Township expressing to Down Town Pittsburgh via I-79/I-279.

Representative Ellis was instrumental in securing the release of state funding for the purchase of the 45’ foot MCI CNG Busses, and future demonstration funds to be used to provide the service.
